The simplest difference
between guitar and bass guitar is the pitch range of the instruments. The base
has the lower sound range compare to guitar. The next difference is the role
the instruments play in a group. Normally, bass plays a supportive role along
with the drummer to create the pulse of the music and set the music's
foundation. But a guitar's job is to play the theme and solo. Drummer and base
is a kind of server of guitar. Also, base is really important in the band. It's
usual if you saw a band without guitar player, but you may never saw a band
without base player. That’s how important a base player is. I learn this from a
website called HubPage. I was very surprised when I saw this, because
our band always played without a base player. I think this is really useful for
me and I will learn more about the role of different instrument in order
to let my band play well.

I really like this post because I have wondered for a while what the difference between a guitar and a bass is. Especially because I just started to learn the guitar. Do you play one or the other, or have a personal preference?
ReplyDeleteof course, I played guitar for almost 10 years. If you want I can teach you.
ReplyDeletewow thats really cool! Unfortunately I had to leave my guitar at home. Maybe if I end up bring it up here though.
